Sometimes We Just Needs Ears That Will Listen

  Hi DJ Chloe,

  I’m deeply concerned about a friend. Her boyfriend’s been “sorting out” his feelings for this girl na gusto niya since high school. My friend found out about this and confronted the guy, to which ang sagot nIya is “I’m not cheating, we’re not committed.” But to tell you honestly, the guy and the other girl has been acting very sweet lately whenever they’re together (they’re not like this before). And after asking the guy about it, titigilan daw nila pagdating ng new year para fresh start daw sila ng totoo niyang girlfriend. I pity my friend kasi she’s clinging to this guy who’s dedicating more of his time and effort to the other girl rather than his girlfriend. Is this cheating? And what can my friend do? She seems to be wala sa sarili because of this and I can’t talk much sense into her that the guy has drastically changed. And worse, he broke up with my friend to favor the other girl. Now my friend’s losing it and I don’t know how to knock some sense into her.

  For the sake of being fair and not being called biased, then here is my opinion on this matter.

  If the boyfriend is a friend of yours, ask him why he is being such an a*****e to your female friend. Lalaki ka, alam mo paano tumakbo ang utak ng mga lalaki.

  Now, if he is not your friend and itong babae lang ang kaibigan mo. Well, sadly there is nothing you can do, no matter what you say, there’s no guarantee that she will listen to you.

  As a friend you can always just be there for her and support her in this trying times of her life.

  I can only think of one reason, the guy fell out of love. And he is entitled to that because in the first place, they are not married yet. And I think that’s exactly the reason why he broke up with your friend.

  Love comes and love leaves. Especially when the foundation is weak and when the people are not really meant for each other.

  Don’t worry about your friend. Just be there for her, she will get by.

  Just as love happens, then she will know in time, it will happen again. We don’t need masteral to know this simple fact. Some are cut out for forever, some are not.
