Sometime You Have To Love What You Hate

  Hi DJ Chloe,

  Have always been a listener and a silent reader of your Chloe’s Inbox, never thought I’d find myself in your page too.

  Wala lang, I just wanted to vent out a bit, ang tagal ko na kasing nagtatrabaho in the company I’m in, siguro po mga 10 years na rin, and I was expecting I’d get a promotion this year, but then hindi pa rin.

  Naiisip ko tuloy, tama ba ang kumpanyang ‘to para sa akin, o masyado lang akong nagmamadali?

  Kailangan ko pa bang magstay or should I set out on finding something that’s meant for me?

  Masaya naman ako dito, natagalan ko na rin ang sobrang pulitika sa loob ng kumpanya, pati mga nakakasukang mga ka-opisina na hindi mo maintidihan kung mga kaibigan mo ba talaga or kaibigan mo lang kapag naiinis sila sa kapwa nila ka-opisina at naghahanap ng bagong kaalyado nila sa pagkainis.

  Anways, is it normal to feel this way? Parang naiinip na ako.

  Sabi nga daw, to get what you love, you must first be patient with what you have.

  Things worth having don’t come easy, namuhunan ka na rin ng almost 10 years, give it a little more time but give yourself a time frame.

  Another thing, ano ba basis nila for promoting people? Baka naman hindi tenure.

  Now if you are convinced that this is not for you then find something that will inspire you and motivate you to do better. Ilang taon ka na ba? Isa pang consideration ‘yan eh.

  Batsa, if you think you’re in the wrong company, you have all the right naman to find what’s right for you, ‘wag ka lang basta magre-resign ng wala kang siguradong pupuntahan kasi mahirap mawalan ng trabaho.

  As to your officemates? Just be silent and smile. You’re not there to make friends in the first place, you’re there to work. Okay lang naman to have a few friends but keep your opinions to yourself, you can make friends naman outside work eh.
