Get married because of the baby or because of love?

  Dear DJ Chloe,

  I hope mabasa mo itong letter ko, I’m one of those na tahimik laging nagbabasa ng mga letters sa page mo. Never thought I would also seek for your advice. I’ve been working since the day I finished college and okay naman po ako sa trabaho ko, may boyfriend din ako. And this is where my problem is stemming from, not that he is a problem po. But to cut it short, I am 3 months pregnant po ngayon and we agreed to keep the baby, but don’t have plans of getting married yet, for now. The problem is my dad, gusto niya magpakasal na kami, hindi pa po kami ready for that sa ngayon and personally I don’t think it’s a good a idea na magpakasal just because buntis ako. Tama po ba ako? O tama ang dad ko na kailangan na naming mag pakasal?

  Hi Karen,

  Para sa akin, magpakasal lang kayo if you love each other so much you both can’t live a day without each other. Love is the only reason para magpakasal ang dalawang tao, it is a commitment and a lifetime of making a decision to stay married for good no matter what. Whatever you both decide on, let your parents know about it. But at the end of the day, you both do what you need and have to do for the best interest of your coming baby.
