You don’t have to be friends with everyone at work

  Good Day DJ Chloe,

  Gusto ko lang po mag-ask ng tulong or advice. Nagstart po ako sa dati kong work ng December 18, nagresign po ako ng January 14, hindi na po kasi talaga kaya ‘yung mga feeling boss ko na katrabaho. Bali po nagresign kasi ako sa dati kong work. Biglaan lang po kasi stressed na po ako and stress din po sa katrabaho. So I decided to chat my HR na hindi na ako papasok kinabukasan. Tapos po nagkamali po ako sa trabaho ko that time. Naghalo-halo na po stress ko, DJ. So hindi na po talaga ako pumasok ng work. Then after two days po nagpasa ako resignation ng maayos and nagpaclearance na din po ako pagkapasa ko ng resignation letter. Then nagkaroon din po ng interview exit ang akala ko po okay na. Ayun po kasi sabi nu’ng HR namin sa office. Then after po nagpa-follow up ako sa office kung kelan ko po sana makukuha ‘yung last na sweldo ko. I think po nine (9) days pa sasahurin ko from them. Tapos po biglang sinabi ng HR namin pinahold daw po sweldo ko sa audit because of what I did daw po na pag-alis ng biglaan. Ano po p’wde gawin, DJ? Kailangan ko pa po naman ‘yung pera ko tapos hinold pa nila. May karapatan po ba silang i-hold ‘yun? Parang personalan na po ginawa ng boss namin, DJ. I need your advice po. Sana mapili mo po concern ko. Salamat po. Pakitago na lang po ng name ko, ‘wag niyo na lang po banggitin. More power, DJ Chloe.

   

  Hi Sis!

  Some mistakes can be really expensive, and some mistakes can really take its toll on the company. But with regards sa p’wede nilang i-hold ang last salary mo, it would be best to ask DOLE about this and also ask your HR as to why. Ano ang reason why it’s not being released, i-clear mo sa kanila bakit before magspeculate.

  Now, why do I have this feeling na flighty ka? Alam mo walang perpektong kompanya, and everywhere there will be co-workers who won’t act their wage. Meaning, akala nila bisor sila or boss sila. In fact, some companies can be forgiving pero ang mga katrabaho mo ang pupulis sa’yo.

  Maybe you still don’t have a family or kids kaya madali for you to decide na ‘wag ng pumasok. But once you have a family of your own, hindi pwede ang basta-basta ka na lang mawalan ng trabaho.

  You have to keep in mind that once you’re employed, you are there to WORK, and if in case you’re able to make good friends or at least find a friend kahit isa lang, bonus na lang ‘yan.
  Nandiyan ka para magtrabaho, hindi para makipagkaibigan.

  So next time, learn to thrive and survive kasi paulit-ulit lang ‘yan. Before you know it, magre-resign ka naman sa makukuha mong trabaho dahil sa mga katrabaho mo.

  As long as you’re doing your job then you shouldn’t be minding them, although it’s important to also have good relationships at work and be in good terms with everyone.
