Chloe’s Inbox – God’s plans are always better than mine

  Hi DJ Chloe,

  I hope you’re doing fine. This is my second time. Please hide my identity. Can you please give me a good advice and motivation? I’m working for almost 15 years in a sales company and masasabi kong tumatag na ako sa dami ng pagsubok ko dito. Pero eto ‘ko ngayon tila unti-unting nawawalan ng hope dahil sa hirap kumita. Pero I need to be strong for my family kahit minsan gusto ko nang bumitaw. And mas worst pa, nawawala ang trust ko kay God—nagda-doubt ako sa Kanya, which is alam ko namang mali. Natatakot akong mawalan ng kita ng sales kasi dito lang ako umaasa para sa ikabubuhay ng family ko. Ang dami kong “what if?” Before okay ang sales pero sa dami ng competitor, ang hirap na talaga. Need ko na ba umalis and look for other jobs? Or magstay for the sake of my family na baka pag-alis ko ay hindi ako agad makahanap ng work at lalo kami magkaproblem. Please, enlighten me. Thank you and more power.

  Nu’ng tumatag ka sa dami ng pagsubok na nalampasan mo, and I’m sure during those times okay ang benta, nagpasalamat ka ba sa Kanya? He was there for you and made sure you’re safe and all. He provided for you. It wasn’t because of what you did. It was because of His grace and mercy, He sustained you. You know, thank God when things are good, and cling to God when things are not going your way. Ganun talaga, there are good times, there are bad times, there will be time for harvest, there will be time for drought. And there’s also a time to plant new seeds. Hindi lang ikaw, dear, ang dumadaan sa dry spell. Kami nga nasunugan, nasunog ang booth, lahat. Wala silang tinira. Imbes na tulungan kami, hahahahaha, ang tagal naapula ng apoy! Charot!

  Well, as I’ve said, there will be dry spells. Kaya dapat you save for these days and that’s really common if you’re into sales. Sales people have the most interesting job, actually. You have the capacity to earn much more depending on how much you want to put in work. If you’re into sales, then I guess hindi ka stay-in sa office and you’re outside most of the time. So you don’t have to quit, you only have to look for other ways or more ways to earn. Girl, ang daming pwedeng pagkakitaan. You’re into sales, magaling kang bumoka I’m sure. So channel your energy into looking for more ways to earn. Baka kailangan mo lang lawakan ang network mo. And while doing so, don’t forget to always ask God to bless your plans and guide you into the right people that can help you with what you need. It takes the same effort of worrying and praying. I also worry, a lot. But I have been a survivor and I have seen God sustained me, He never failed to feed me, clothe me, and even gave me more than what I deserve. Kaya nakakahiya to even complain to Him. Look around you, dear. If you still have a home to come home to every day, you are blessed than most people. Be thankful instead. The more you’re thankful, the more you’ll realize you have many things to be thankful for.
