Canned good you must not cross off your grocery list

    Everyday now is a challenge, especially coming up with what new food to cook.

    It has been several weeks now since home quarantine started and in a week, there is only a day or two that you can go outside and be at the market or grocery to buy all your needs, depending on the place you are at. Well to let you know, this might help you a lot re-organizing not only your grocery list but also your meal plan for your family, most especially for you when you are only living by yourself.

    A little tip for you during this limited time at the grocery/market. When you’re going to buy goods, first, set up a schedule for yourself to lessen and save time for other important things to do and  second, always consider listing up all your needs to avoid missing out or over buying.

    Now, let’s proceed to some canned goods that you should never list off from your grocery.

    Tuna is one of the best choices that you should not forget during this time. Canned tuna and Sardines are good alternatives for meat that you usually buy. You can always partner it with leftover pasta, bread, and even with rice! How great is that, right? You can do a lot of experiments out of it and still taste good. Second is Canned pork and beans, it has a sauce or sarsa that has a good texture that is best for breakfast and lunch. You can cook this with some acute cube cut pork as the beans will serve as an alternative for the ingredients that you don’t find at home.

    Lastly is canned meatloaf and/or spam. As mentioned earlier, everyday is a new challenge for you to make something out of these canned goods, but don’t fret, Meatloaf or spam can go along with rice, all mixed together with soy sauce and served hot in a bowl! You can do this while enjoying a movie night with your family or alone. Easy? Yes!

    Preparing meals for everyday is quite challenging, right? And kept getting harder every single day but I guess there is no such thing as tough challenge when you start to have a step-by-step procedure until it becomes a part of your daily routine.

    As they say, food brings you comfort so maximize it.
