“Give what you can, take what you need,” is the main idea of the community pantry, but with all the issues surrounding it now, should there be a halt on this initiative? What is your stand on this hot topic?
On this episode of Coffee Break, DJs Nick and Shai circled their conversation on the emergence of community pantries and the issues surrounding it now. The two have shared their opinions on why is there a need for the people to have community pantries. “They feel so bad that their community is not getting enough so they decided to take things in their own hand,” Shai said. While, Nick said “Let’s allow them to help if they want to help.” They also tackled the issues of propaganda, the government wanting to take control of it, and romanticizing community pantries. Nick ended the conversation with a call: “It’s always better to do something than not do something pero when it comes to taking action for the people especially if you are in the position to do it, galaw ka.” While, Shai urged everyone to do something to your community to help out and make life a better place for everyone.
