Chloe’s Inbox: “It took 12 years before my mother accepted my wife”

March 17, 2022

  • Hi, DJ Chloe,

I wanna take part on your post on in-laws disagreeing with many things.
24 yrs ago I had a GF. She’s 5 yrs older than me and a single mom. All my cousins and my mother never said a word on not rooting for her but they never fail to express it. We lasted for 8 yrs. I would wake up at 5AM, drive her to her office, go to my work, then pick her up again. Usually 9PM to 11PM. I didn’t mind. I was young. One day she got sick beyond science. Yes, nakulam sya. (Remind me to share that on hollows eve). I stood beside her. My mom and cousins kept on saying, iwanan mo na, bata ka pa, wag mo sirain buhay mo riyan. I ignored them. I took care of her until she got better. I was willing to lay my life for her so she’d feel better. I did everything I could and I succeeded. Months after she got better, I started noticing some changes. Seven years ba naman, siyempre alam mo na pati utot n’yan. I’m a pisces and I’m a very excellent observer. And I was right, may lalaki sya. I told her isusuko ko buhay ko sayo, pero hindi ko papayagan na maulit ito. So pinalaya ko siya. After 2 years, I met a girl who is now my wife. Ayaw din ni nanay sa kanya. I guess its because iisang anak ako. So, lahat ayaw. But after 12 yrs, my nanay now enjoys the company of her 2 grandsons. So, you see, kahit sino pa kalaban mo, basta hindi 3rd party, hindi problema ‘yan. By the way, don’t mention any name please. Ako po ‘yung nagka omicron while you were in isolation also. Sadly, I forgot my IG password kaya nakikialam ako ngayon sa FB account ng wife ko.

    Thank you, DJ Chloe.
