Anna Aquino shares the ‘hugot story’ behind new song ‘Di Na Ako’

• DID YOU KNOW? Even if the songs are mostly about heartbreaks, Anna Aquino also writes songs when she’s happy!  

  In this part of the interview, the singer-songwriter shared about the creative process for her single, “’Di Na Ako.” Initially, the song was meant to be titled “’Di Na Ba Ako,” and it all started with strumming the first notes and asking herself questions about the relationship. 

  “ANG DAMI KONG ‘BAKIT'” — the “Hugot Princess” revealed what triggered her to write a song. Somewhere along the lines, she also tackled exes, heartbreaks, grieving phases, and eventually moving on.  

  Dubbed “Hugot Princess,” PolyEast Records artist Anna Aquino is best known for her renditions of songs. She started with bar gigs and open mic nights; she’s a performer today with millions of streams on music streaming platforms. She is also behind the hits “Kung Sabagay,” “Unti-unti,” “Biglaan,” and more.
