Long Distance Relationship Problems

  Hi DJ Chloe!

  Just call me Isha. I’m an avid reader of your segment. Just want to share something and hopefully ask for some advice na rin. I am married for more than a year and for the past months parang I feel na unti-unti nawawala ‘yung love ko para sa husband ko. He is a seafarer and after our wedding six months lang kami nagsama then umalis na siya. And for the months na wala siya I have been through a lot of difficult situations and I feel na nakaya ko masurpass lahat even without him. Which I think led to my decreasing love and affection for him.

  Then after a few months, I became close to a workmate. He confessed his love for me even though alam niya na married ako. I felt also na my feelings din ako for him. Now I feel na siya na ang mahal ko since wala na din ako nararamdaman for my husband. I’m thinking to give myself some time na i-try ibalik kung meron pa akong natitirang love for my husband, or should I just stay in our marriage, kahit wala na akong feelings for him.

  As for the other guy alam niya naman ang situation ko. Sometimes sinasabi niya na sana kami na lang and tanggap niya naman and sinasabi niya na magsama kami if ever maghiwalay na talaga kami ng husband ko kasi binata naman siya. Hope you can help on my situation. Nahihirapan and nalilito na din kasi ako what to do. Thank you so much!

  ‘Wag kang padalos-dalos. Baka naman dahil namimiss mo lang asawa mo and things might change if you are together again.

  Para sa’kin kasi hindi dapat naghihiwalay ang mag-asawa. Kaya everything pinaplano. You didn’t mention paano setup niyo ng asawa mo. These days, there’s Viber, Whats App, Facebook Messenger, all of these I mentioned have free calls. Unlike those days na may mga programa pa sa radio para makatawag ng libre sa asawa mong OFW. So I think LDR can survive only if two persons are committed to make it survive. Pero mahirap daw talaga ang LDR.

  I would say, since you’re married, give your husband a chance. Besides you are married to him so between him and the other guy the other guy doesn’t have any right at all.

  Exhaust all efforts, make him come home. Ask him if there’s a chance that he can find work here instead of leaving you alone. And please, try to get rid of the other guy. ‘Di maayos ang problema niyong mag-asawa habang nandyan siya.
