The Art of Forgiving

  Hi Dj Chloe,

  Meron lang po ako ihihingi ng payo sa’yo. Nu’ng huli po akong nagbuntis ay nahuli ko ang asawa ko na may katext at ang basa ko sa text ay nagtatagpo sila. Kinonfront ko ‘yung girl at ang husband ko pero dineny nila pareho sa harap ng parents ko at parents ng husband ko. Dahil sa may anak kami at mahal ko siya pintawad ko siya pero from that time nag-iba na ang takbo ng isip ko. Nawalan na ako ng tiwala sa kahit kanino. Naging maiinitin ang ulo ko. Kapag may mga kaibigan siyang pumupunta sa bahay namin, pagnaiirita ako ipinapakita kong galit ako hanggang sa point na napapahiya ang asawa ko. Pa’no po kaya ang gagawin ko. Gusto ko pong bumalik ‘yung dating ako, ‘yung masaya at walang kaaway, magaan lang ang buhay. Hind bitter. Mahal ko po ang asawa ko dahil kahit na ganun ang inasal ko naiintindhan niya ako. Sana matulungan mo ‘ko. Maraming salamat at more power.

  You decided to forgive your husband, right? Then decide to also forget the offense. Staying with your husband whom you found to be cheating on you will really make your life hell. The doubts will always be there. The threat of being cheated again. You are miserable now because you have chosen to forgive him but at the back of your mind you hated him for what he did to you. For women out there, for wives who have decided to stay with a cheating husband, you are opening yourself up to a chain of disrespectful events. Alam ng asawa mo na kapag mahuli ulit siya patatawarin mo. And it’s usually like that. If you can’t leave your husband for doing such, then please don’t complain your misery. There are only three things you can do, anyway. Stay and make your lives miserable together by nagging him to death about it or stay and forgive him and pretend like nothing happened so you’re both happy again. The third thing you can do is LEAVE and be on your own.
