    Summer is definitely here!

The scorching heat of the summer sun is definitely here to remind you to hydrate and to cool yourself down.

Since it’s already summer, you can just either dip in the pool or you can just grab your favorite Pinoy summer coolers to help you cool down during this season.

    Halo-halo

A pinoy favorite! Who would miss out on a Pinoy halo-halo? It is a mixture of different fruits, milk, ice, beans, gulaman, and more! This is commonly served in a tall cup with a slice of leche flan to add that extra sweetness on top! You can also add a scoop of ice cream on top. Can you imagine how yummy this treat can get?

    Sago’t Gulaman

A glass of grass jelly, brown sugar syrup and pearls is great to pair with any pinoy merienda. This beverage is available everywhere! You can just easily grab your sago’t gulaman fix almost anywhere you go. This can also be easily prepared in the comforts of your home.

    Pinoy Sorbetes

Your favorite childhood afternoon snack! This is sold by vendors in pedicabs or sidecars. It comes with different flavors and can be sold in wafer cones, cups, and even in bread. You can definitely buy tubs of ice cream in the supermarkets, but nothing can beat your local sorbetes vendor!

Saging con yelo and Mais con yelo

This is basically banana or corn cooked in brown sugar syrup. Add crushed ice and top it with a lot of fresh milk for a creamy finish. You can also try adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top to add more flavor.

    Ice Scramble

This is a Filipino dessert made from shaved ice and banana extract. You can commonly see this sold in the streets. Each cup contains a shaved ice, milk powder, marshmallows and a drizzle of chocolate syrup on top.
