  • If there is one thing that we ’90s kids could not forget, it’s the love for these Pinoy snacks and of course the variety in them. Over the years, we have tried various snacks that most of us enjoy at the time. The good news is some of these are available today but let’s not wait for the time that they would be phased out. You surely wouldn’t want to miss these top ten kiddie treats that most of us enjoyed during the ’90s.

    Mik-Mik Sweetened Milk Powder

Every kid loves sweets! If you love sweetened powders whether its chocolate or milk, this is exactly it. It comes with a straw where you can get to sip the powder. But, be warned! This powder could cause you to cough because of too much sipping! Lol!

    Choc Nut

Chocolate and peanut candy in one? Yes! This treat is made up of crushed peanuts, cocoa powder, and milk. You’ll surely want more of this once you get a taste. There are now lots of versions of chocolate peanut, but this one is the best!

    Bazooka Bubble Gum

Never had this bubblegum? Well, you might to reach a sari-sari store near you and get one! ’90s kids enjoyed this not just because of the gum itself but also the collectible comic strips! Unfortunately, it was year 2012 when comics was replaced by codes for games and advertisements that connect it to the online world.

    Pom-Pom Cheese Curls

We couldn’t get enough of these! These cheese curls made us remember those old times when we sit around in front of our television screens watching our favorite cartoons!

    White Rabbit

You know what this is! This is the Chinese version of our classic nougat. What makes eat this candy more is the fun of eating the actual wrapper which is made of a unique rice paper which of course adds to the taste of the candy! Yum!

    Iced Gem Biscuits

Don’t get us wrong! You actually eat these biscuits in two ways! One: you take the icing on top and eat the biscuit, leaving all the icing on the pack. Two: eating all the icings and letting your seatmate have the biscuits. This snack is very visually attractive because of its icing! Cute!

    Captain Sid’s Butong Pakwan

Patience is virtue when you eat this snack! Yes, for sure! These watermelon seeds were dried up and salted and you have to eat it by cracking the seeds between your teeth and getting its tasty center.

    Snacku Vegetable- Flavored Snack

Is it really made out of vegetables? Nope. This rice cracker is stupendously sprinkled with vegetable powder. It is green in color that is rich in saltiness and umami flavors!

    Jungle Juice Drink

Aside from other popular fruit juices, Jungle Juice is one of the most popular drinks back in the early ’90s. There’s just always that one kid in class who has this drink!

    TofiLuk Chocolate

TofiLuk chocolate was very popular back then! Even our parents secretly ate this when we weren’t looking! This is irresistible two-stick biscuit coated with caramel goodness! You have to try it yourself!

We do have a lot of childhood memories in our hearts, we usually cry over movies that are decades old remembering the actors in them who are no longer living and so and these snacks are no different from them. Seeing and tasting these treats makes us remember what we were and what we did before, taking us into the past with memories that make us laugh and cry. Trust us, these 90’s snacks are worth trying.
