There are so many reasons why chocolate is making people happy.
Do you still remember the last time you ate a piece of chocolate? Did it make you happy? Our concern is all about our mind and mood and the experience of a human being.
Chocolate, making people happy, is actually chemical in nature.
According to Dr. Robert Shmerling, MD, our consumption of chocolate helps our brain to function better, most especially in terms of memory and reaction time.
Experts called it neurotransmitters. They are signals being sent to neurons back and forth. Certain neurotransmitters are responsible for our emotions and the way we feel.
Caffeine is one of the popular compounds that can be found in chocolates.
Caffeine is a simulator of the central nervous system and it also stimulates blood flow in the brain. It also enhances alertness, thought formation, and decreases chances of fatigue. It increases the secretion of an important neurotransmitter called “serotonin,” or what so called as “mood lifter.”
Chocolates gets right to the heart by increasing the brain’s level of serotonin.
Serotonin plays a major role in emotional health most especially in dealing with positive mood, proper sleep, good appetite, responsiveness and contributing to numerous positive behavioral functions.
Low number of serotonin is a factor of depression.
Overall, it improves the mood, lifts the spirit, and enhances the way we feel toward others.
So, this Valentine season, have your loved one a special treat, bring them their special choice of chocolate and live with positive vibes and brilliance all day long.
