  • One way to cut down expenses is to maximize whatever it is that you have on hand. And for yuppies, being practical is already a must because they have lifetime priorities to consider.

2016 is a good year to save and invest. And to save means being wise with your daily expenses.

For this year, why not try cutting down your daily expenses through your food. You can still go out with friends and officemates once in a while. But just in case you want to really save we’re giving you baon ideas that will not just help you save but keep you on your diet track. Plus, you’ll get to experiment on your leftover. Tipid, right?

    1. VEGETABLE FRIED RICE

If fried rice is your mastery, push! Do it the way you want it. Just add carrots, corn, green peas, potatoes, bell pepper, celery, and add some pepper to spice it up! You can add whatever veggie you want. This one will do for your lunch. This is less expensive because you can just put anything you have in the fridge.

    VEGGIE-RICE

    1. ADOBO FLAKES, SINANGAG, AND SPICY EGG

Adobo is lovelier the next day. Bring it on with your own fried rice and spiced up fried egg. Check the recipe here.

    1. PAKBET RICE

Even that Pinakbet leftover from dinner will give you thumbs-up when it’s mixed with fried rice. You just have to do your own fried rice again. When it’s almost done mix your Pinakbet leftover. Let the Pinakbet veggies get fried a little before setting it aside.

    1. VEGETABLE STICKS WITH GARLIC YOGURT DIP

If you don’t want it too heavy then go for vegetable sticks. You can choose! Cucumber, singkamas, carrots, celery sticks, bell pepper stocks, name it. And you just have to add some garlic and few spices that you love on a generic yogurt for your dip. You can do this when you know that you’re having a  working lunch. Less hassle. Plus, it’s for share. You can even do a lot of this for your whole day food. Healthy snack it is!

    VEGGIE-STICKS

    1. VEGGIE CUP WITH CHICKEN CHOPS

This kind of baon is for the yuppies who are always on the field. Just fill in a jar (mason jar will be good) with your favorite veggies mixed with your favorite dressing and chicken chops. So with your chicken chops it’s your choice if you’re going to fry it or steam it. It’s better if you’re choosing the breast part of the chicken and remove the bones for hassle-free meal. But it’s your call. We also suggest that you just steam the chicken for lesser oil and healthier meal.

Oh, don’t forget your fork, okay?

There are a lot of recipes that you can do for your everyday meal. You just have to experiment a little and be artsy. All for diet and all for saving! *wink*
