Did you know that some of the foods that you enjoy consuming now are made by accident?

Yes, there are foods or snacks that are made accidentally. Some can be a product of a brain fart, or some are just products of pure clumsiness or some sort.

According to the dailymeal.com, here are the foods that are made by accident:

    Popsicle

Popsicles were made when an 11-year-old Frank Epperson left his glass of soda together with its mixing stick outside his porch overnight. The next morning, he just found his soda transformed into a block of flavored ice. It took him 18 years later to have his accidental invention patented. He first called it “Epsicle” then later was changed to “Popsicle.”

    Potato Chips

Who would have thought that a simple complain would give birth to one of the most consumed snacks nowadays? Back in 1853, a restaurant in 1853 received a complaint from a customer regarding their fried potatoes not being crispy enough. The chef decided to slice the potatoes as thinly as possible before frying them and then voila he got potato chips who was then called Saratoga Chips.

    Ice Cream Cone

Ice cream cones were invented by being resourceful. One fine day, an ice cream vendor ran out of plastic cups to put his creams to. Luckily, the man who was selling pastries beside him decided to solve his problem by sharing his thinly made pastries. Then the ice cream cone was born!

    Yogurt

Yogurts are made by adding bacteria and enzymes to the milk. During the sixth century BC, when there was still no electricity and refrigerators, they would store milk inside the animals’ stomachs. Stomachs provide bacteria and enzymes that turn milk into a thick, tart concoction thus the birth of yogurt.
