It’s been a year since Metro Manila has been put under the community quarantine. Everyone was advised to stay at home to contain the spread of the virus. Who would’ve thought that this will give birth to different trends that helped everyone get through the community quarantine.

Here are the trends that you surely have tried during the first year (well, hopefully it will be the last) of the pandemic:

    Dalgona Coffee

The trend that started it all! Yes, you heard that right. This is the first food trend that started all the food trends in the first year of the pandemic.

After this coffee recipe trended, everyone started making their own versions and all of a sudden, our feeds were filled with Dalgona coffee!

We got enough caffeine to survive the whole year!

    Sushi Bake

Remember that time when you started to eat sushi like tacos? Everyone went crazy with this trend and every household seems to have one on their dining tables! It sure entertained everyone while staying at home, right?

    Ube Pandesal

A pinoy breakfast staple with a twist! The star is even made special by the creamy ube and cheese! This is definitely the fusion that you have never seen coming! Who can now remember eating pandesal without ube and cheese?

    DIY Samgyupsal

Who can survive a year without their favorite samgyupsal? There is definitely no stopping pinoys in getting their samgyupsal fix! Everyone had their own versions of the Korean fave!

These are just a few of the food trends that kept your tummies full and mental health intact! Did we miss anything? What is your favorite among all these food trends? Share it with us in the comment section!
