If ever time machine would be invented, none will hesitate to get in it and pass by the years when The Beatles hummed their life-touching melodies.
But do you know that there’s a corner at P.Noval near UST where you just have to get in that red London telephone booth and in no time, you’re having a blast from the past.
One year old on March 6, The Eatles, is one of the many artsy and unique food hubs along Sampaloc area. It is The Beatles, where the establishment name came, and London themed.
The Eatles gives you an old aura through its interior accessorized with vintage items which some of it are passed on from the ancestors of its owner, Aris Blas.
Aris himself is a fan of The Beatles and at the same time has European taste buds. His aim is to bring fabulous food in a cheap price, sharing the same feels when the fabulous four went here in the county for a visit.
Aris added that he wants to give that feel which you can’t explain—which you can’t describe the taste anymore because it can’t be compared to any. It’s the same feeling when you get to see The Beatles, he said.
From its wall decorations, to checkered floor pattern, to condiment holders, to London-inspired couches and tables, you’ll know that this corner was not forced to be put up but labored with passion.
The Eatles is a-must try because everything that comes out of their red London bus kitchen is home-made and cooked on the day itself. And even if their selection are Europe inspired, they still utilize local ingredients in order to catch the Filipino taste buds.
Another thing The Eatles boasts of is you’re paying what you deserve. With student-price meals, you can get one heavy good meal. It’s because they do not use extenders. Its owner wants their customers to enjoy their meal not just the ambiance and the old music.
One of their best-sellers is The Eatles Black Cheeseburger. The buns are made of bamboo charcoal and its 800 grams patty is mixed with different spices.
The burger is really heavy. But it doesn’t give you that “sawa” or “umay” taste. Partner it with their lemon grass iced tea, you’re really eating something organic now.
The Eatles Black Cheeseburger Also, they serve steaks which are American size and of course, since we are Asians, with rice and variety of sauce you can choose from.
Pork Steak in Orange Sauce Porterhouse Steak Another must-try at The Eatles is their buffalo wings! You’ll just love how the sauce and the mixture of compliments the wings.
Bungalow Bill’s Buffalo Wings We give four stars to The Eatles because their food is cheap and their serving is really big. We love how we get to experience London in a corner in Sampaloc. And we just had giggles because we had lunch with Paul and the gang! Throwback feels it is!
