You heard it right, sweeties! Turon was ranked in 21st place, while Maruya ranked 36th. Ever wondered what kind of banana dessert is it and how are they made?

    Turon

Turon is one of the most popular Filipino snacks in the Philippines. When you’re looking for a healthy snack or a sugar rush in the afternoon, you could easily find this on the street. They’re filled with sweet saba banana and ripe jackfruit, then fried in a crispy, caramel-coated lumpia wrapper. Try this recipe from Panlasang Pinoy and you’ll definitely cook it again!

    Maruya

Maruya is also one of the classics. It’s a sweet fritter, made with Saba (Cardaba) bananas coated in batter and fried to form a crispy layer on the outside. Plus, it is made sweeter with some sugar sprinkles on top!

Try this quick and easy Banana Fritter (Maruya) recipe from Pinoy Food Guide

For sure, these two Filipino snacks made from bananas are definitely worth a try!
