Words You’re Afraid To Hear From The Person You Love

No matter how much you love and how much you hold on, there are still things that you fear. Things that you don’t want to hear. One of them is the thought of being let go or letting go the person you love. Because just the thought of it is like roaming around hell. And it’s scarier than the ghost from your past or the monsters under your bed.

“We need to talk.” The words which give you so much nervousness. These very words make you tense. You usually hear this over the phone or maybe on a busy day that you have to discuss it later. You do not know if the love of your life is not willing to fight anymore. You’re not sure if your happy days will end after the conversation you’ll have. You’re uncertain of all the things after it. And that is what you really don’t like–the uncertainty. And then you overthink.

“Walang bago eh.” When someone’s looking for new things already. And even if you want to try to bring new things in your relationship, the other one is not willing to try anymore.

“Positive eh.” You know what happened when you hear this. And sometimes it’s more intense when you’re not ready.

“Nagsasawa na ‘ko.” This is one of the many words in the world that you can say which can hurt your loved one so much. Because it only proves that whatever they are giving, whatever they are doing, it’s not enough for you. It’s like giving love a standard. It’s making someone feel like the relationship is not worth continuing or giving a second chance for.

“Meron akong iba.” For some, they’d rather hear this straight from their love’s mouth than see it themselves. It’s one of the most painful–being cheated on. Because it means that your partner is not contented with what you both have that he/she found another one to love.

“Kanya-kanya muna tayo.” These words are very simple but heavy. It’s synonymous for “I want to be alone.” And when he/she wants to be alone, you have to be away. Sometimes it becomes for good.

“It’s not working.” And the next words could be…

“Hindi na ata ‘to worth it.” Hindi na worth it ipaglaban. Hindi na worth it ipagpatuloy. Or maybe, “hindi ka na worth it.”

“I need space.” The mother of all breakups. The very reason why people do not end up together is because they need space. So much space that they forget to go back. They forget that they left someone waiting for them. They are craving for so much space, they found theirselves, they forgot to look for the love they need.

“I don’t see a future with you.” Just when you thought that you have found the person you’re willing to live with the rest of your life; the person you’re eyes will look to forever; your soulmate. That’s when these words will arise. You’re not a part of the future that he/she sees.

“Hindi na ‘ko masaya.” And when you thought that all things are doing just fine and you’re happy about it, someone is not.

“Ayaw ka ni mama.” Even if you tell yourself that you’re heart is the one beating and not your parents’, their blessing matter. Always.
