Ed Sheeran returns with two new songs, ‘Caste on the Hill’ and ‘Shape of You’ after a yearlong hiatus from social media and music according to the Rolling Stone.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer took to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat to tease the songs before releasing them around Friday midnight.
‘Shape of You’ was written by Sheeran himself with Johnny McDaid and Steve Mac. Meanwhile, ‘Castle on the Hill’ was written and produced by Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco.
On December 2015, Sheeran took a social media break “to travel the world see everything I missed” and he also announced that “the 3rd album is on its way and is the best thing I have made thus far.”
One year later, the Sheeran returned with a series of cryptic tweets leading to the new songs including some snippets that provided clues to his new music.
