“Whenever you make an album you don’t think about the end result, you’re thinking about the process,” says Lovato, who is up for best pop vocal album. “And you’re putting everything into it, so to be nominated for an award for the album is just an incredible feeling and it’s really, really rewarding.”
Lovato shared her reaction of finding out about her Grammy nomination as well as what it means to her to be recognized by such prestigious award giving body.
“What’s really cool about the Grammys is that your peers are people that you’ve looked up to your entire life — people who’ve been nominated and won Grammys themselves,” she added. “So to be nominated by them, people you look up to your whole life, it’s an honor.”
Lovato’s ‘Confident’ will be facing Adele’s ’25’, Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’, Ariana Grande’s ‘Dangerous Woman’ and Sia’s ‘This Is Acting’ in the best pop vocal album category.
