There Will Always Be A Walk To Remember

• Just this week, A Walk To Remember turned 15 years, which means, 15 years ago we were all crying over the unconditional love of Jamie (Mandy Moore) and Landon (Shane West) to each other.

  Growing up in a small community, Landon is your cool guy while Jamie is a Pastor’s kid diagnosed with Leukemia. Being the cool kid but gets into trouble, Landon got into detention and Jamie was one of the few people who helped him learn his lesson. As they spend more time with each other, they fell in love with each other. In the story, Jamie has always wanted to witness a miracle. And her miracle was Landon.

  A Walk To Remember has given us a hope that in this long walk of life, we’ll bump into someone who will give us the love we think we don’t deserve. Surely, the lines of the novelist, Nicholas Sparks has struck our heart through this story…

  

  Love is not something that comes to you just like that. Not something ordinary and not something lite. It’s only your heart who can tell you when it’s already love. True love is only felt and given by a heart that is geniune and true. Unconditional love is not imposed. It is something that you’ll learn through time. It is something that you’ll desire to learn. Love is always both a commitment and a choice.

  

  Love will always teach you that it is not always a happy ending. It is not alway a fairy tale. It is not something that you have planned or imagined inside your head. Love is always sacrificial. It overlooks the ugly things and looks at the beautiful ones even if it is only handful. Love never measures what it has given, instead, it will give until it has nothing. Love will not always make you smile. Sometimes it will make you sad and even bring out your worst. And it accepts no matter how hard, no matter how painful. Because that is its nature. That is how beautiful love is. You cannot describe what power it can do to your life. You’ll never know how it will make you and break you. You’ll never know how lovely that idea of love itself unless you experience it.

  

  There are things that love won’t tell you straight. There are things that you’ll just learn over time. There are things that you are not required to comprehend but later on you will. You will know its purpose. And you just have to trust the journey. You just have to move your feet forward and forward and forward until you’re blocks aways from it or few steps away from it. Just trust the journey. Because sometimes love has its end and on those end points you might or might not see beginnings. You just have to trust the journey. You may not understand now but soon you will.

  

  Love teaches you to let go. It teaches you to free the things your hands hold tightly. It teaches you to take off. But in every thing that you give away, in every person you let go of, there’s a pain in it. It will break you. It will crush your heart to pieces. But you have to go through it. You have to walk through it. Because no matter how difficult it is, you know in your heart, that there will always be a love that is worth it. A love that you’ll walk over with so much strength and that walk would always be a walk to remember.
