Chris Martin visits sick Coldplay fan before the band’s concert

• Chris Martin visited a sick Coldplay fan yesterday before staging the band’s concert here in the country last night according to Billboard.

  Before going to the Mall Of Asia Concert Grounds, the Coldplay frontman visited Ken Santiago, a super fan who is suffering from a stage 4 cancer.

  Santiago, a medical student  at U.P. Manila was supposed to attend the band’s concert but his current condition prevented him from going.

  “A week ago, he already turned over his Platinum ticket to my younger brother. He does not show he is sad, he said it’s okay. But we can feel that he really wanted to be there. But due to his health condition that we cannot compromise. We, especially him accepted the fact that he can’t be there in the most special concert of Coldplay for him,” Kheil Santiago, Ken’s older brother wrote. “I am sending you this open letter to ask a little favor if the band could just say ‘hi’ or a short message for him to make him feel better.”

  Kheil’s letter spread all over social media and managed to reach Rhizza Pascua, the head of MMI, the organizer of the Coldplay concert in the country.

  The young Coldplay fan talked to Martin using a small white board because he was unable to speak due to his illness. “I can’t thank you enough,” Ken reportedly wrote.

  Before leaving the hospital, Martin gave Santiago his hat, as well as some of the band’s merchs including a shirt, a bag and a copy of the band’s album, ‘A Head Full of Dreams’.
