Charice changes name to ‘Jake Zyrus’

  Filipino singer Charice has changed his name to Jake Zyrus on all of his social media accounts.

  The 25-year-old singer delete all his past posts on Twitter and Instagram.

  On his first tweet, he thanked his fans for the support they’ve showed him. While on Instagram, he posted a photo of ‘Thank You’ with caption, “from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I’m sending peace to everyone.”

  Known as Charice Pempengco in 2005, first opened up about her sexuality in 2013, where she admitted that he was a lesbian. The following year, she debuted a new image, donning a short blonde cut and tattoos.

  Before Charice revealed his new identity, ‘Jake’ took a break from the spotlight after his break-up with girlfriend Alyssa Quijano in April.
