Lady Gaga defends Ed Sheeran against internet trolls

  Pop icon Lady Gaga has defended Ed Sheeran after being bashed and abused by internet trolls that lead the British singer to exit Twitter.

  According to MTV, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to defend the singer, writing that Sheeran ‘deserves all our love and respect like all humans do.’

  The ‘Million Reasons’ singer posted a photo of them as the caption reads: “What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED @edsheeran deserves all our love and respect like all humans do,” she wrote. “I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. No reason to tear down an artist simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity.”

  Sheeran quit Twitter after receiving an overwhelming number of tweets of hate and abuse’. “One comment ruins your day,” he said. “That’s why I’ve come off it,” the singer added.
