Lea Salonga, set to return to Broadway

  Actress and singer Lea Salonga will be returning to Broadway this fall to play a role on the show Once On This Island.

  The Tony winner Lea Salonga confirmed the news on a tweet sharing the report of the official announcement.

  “I have been keeping this for months! So excited to be returning to Broadway this fall in one of my favorite shows,” she said.

  According to an article on Broadwayworld.com, Lea will be playing the role of Erzulie, the goddes of love. Aside from her, she will be joined by some notable artists such as Alex Newell, Merle Dandridge and Quentin Earl Darrington.

  ‘One On This Island’ tells the story of Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl who falls in love with a wealthy boy from the other side of the island.
