Pop superstar Taylor Swift won the sexual assault lawsuit against the former country DJ David Mueller according to MTV.
After six days in court, the jury of six women and two men unanimously decided that Mueller ‘assaulted’ and ‘battered’ Swift during the singer’s meet and greet in June 2013.
Swift was then awarded $1 in damages to convey that the groping lawsuit was never about the money and was intended to be an example to other women.
The trial lasted less than week wherein Swift was reportedly attending but has not appeared in public. The singer has yet to comment on the decision of the jury.
