Quincy Jones to Taylor Swift: ‘We Need Songs, Not Hooks’

  Known producer Quincy Jones fires at Taylor Swift’s songwriting in a recent interview with GQ according to Bilboard.

  Jones, who worked with hall of famer artists such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin told GQ in an interview that he didn’t like Swift’s songwriting style, “We need more songs, man. F*cking songs, not hooks.”

  Christ Heath of GQ then answered “some people consider her the greatest songwriter of our age,” which Jones laughed and said, “Whatever crumbles your cookie.”

  When the famed producer was asked if he will produce a song for Swift, he replied, “I’ll figure something out. Man, the song is the shit — that’s what people don’t realize. A great song can make the worst singer in the world a star.”
