Justin Timberlake nailed his Super Bowl 2018 halftime show despite scrapping of Prince hologram according to Pitchfork.
Timberlake who was backed up by his Tennesse Kids performed a run through of his hit songs plus one from his new album ‘Man of the Woods’.
After he was introduced by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, Timberlake sang ‘Filthy’ off his new album. It was followed by ‘Rock Your Body’ the same song he performed in the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show with Janet Jackson. Then singer then played a medley of his old hits, ‘Senorita,’ ‘Sexy Back,’ ‘My Love,’ and ‘Cry Me A River.’ He ended his set with ‘Mirror’ and ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling.’
According to some reports, Justin was supposed to bring out a Prince hologram but was later on scrapped. But that did not stopped JT from doing a Prince tribute. He performed ‘I Would Die 4 U’ while a video of Prince is being played in a banner behind him while Minnesota was covered in a sea purple light.
This is the third time Justin Timberlake performed in Super Bowl halftime show.
