“Kiki, wala na, finish na!” This is the popular tagline used by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to warn motorists against “In My Feelings” Challenge also known as “Kiki” Challenge here in the country.
According to MMDA, they are higly concerned with the safety of the motorists most especially the driver and his passenger who’s doing the challenge. The government agency also raises attention that “Kiki” Challenge is a clear violation of Republic Act 10913 or the Anti-distracted Driving Act of 2017 which prohibits a person who is driving a motor vehicle from holding and using mobile communication devices and electronic entertainment gadgets.
In a creatives posted in their social media accounts, the Department of Transportation insists that doing the challenge in public thoroughfares is punishable by the law. “Ipakita ang feelings sa tamang paraan, huwag habang nasa daan” (Express feelings in a right way, not on the road), DOTr added.
