Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next” breaks record on YouTube

  Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” video has set a new record on YouTube as most-streamed video according to Spin.com.

  The music video reached over 50 million views in the first 24 hours of its release breaking the record previously set by BTS. They reached 45.9 million views in August for their song “Idol” featuring Nicki Minaj.

  Grande’s music video is packed with all the biggest female-led movies of the 2000’s including Mean Girls, Bring It On, Legally Blonde, and 13 Going On 30.” There are also cameos from celebrities like Kris Jenner and Troye Sivan as well as the actors from the reference movies like Jonathan Bennett and Stafanie Drummond from Mean Girls.

  The track charted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with its release last month.
