Filipino-American singer Angelica Hale who finished second on “America’s Got Talent” in 2017 just made history on the show on Monday according to ABS-CBN News.
She sang Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” as her come back song on the show and earned her a standing ovation from the judges and the live audience.
“Angelica, you are like the little boss lady that you are. You came here to win. I can see that. I can feel that,” said judge Heidi Klum.
Hale also went on the first two-time Golden Buzzer when judge Howie Mandel commended her performance. “When people show up on this show, the level of competition is much higher. Just by the title, you are amongst champions. You show up and you ripped the ceiling off this theater. That was your fight song and if I can do anything, I am going to help you win this fight,” he told the 11-year-old singer.
Hale who is also the youngest AGT contestants, dreams of following the steps of Whitney Houston.
She just burst into tears and said, “I can’t believe this is actually happening to me. I never expected this to happen. I wanted to thank you so much. This is a dream come true.”
