Auction starts for the unheard demo of David Bowie

  This is considered as the first recording of a demo of David Bowie entitled “Starman” is now being auctioned by the United Kingdom-based Omega Auctions.

  Recorded in 1971 by Bowie and Spiders from Mars guitarist Mick Ronson. It is followed by the release of Bowie’s 1972 album, “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.”

  The tape is owned by a certain Kevin Hutchinson, a guitarist who worked with Bowie before. It is to be auctioned at the price of £10,000 ($13,000). It also features the early versions of “Hang On To Yourself” and “Moonage Daydream.”

  This auction also includes the original posters for the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, glasses worn by Elton John and jewelry owned and worn by Elvis Presley.
