The traffic situation in Manila worsens every single day. Commuting to and from work becomes unbearable that is why the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is serious about fixing our traffic by lessening the number of cars on the road.
Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program has been going on for quite some time now however it has been decided that the coding hours will be made uniform throughout Metro Manila.
According to Top Gear, that mean the coding scheme will be in effect from 7am to 8pm, everywhere. The existing window hours will no longer be in effect.
No window hours means less cars on the road that can congest Manila roads.
According to MMDA general manager, ““We have agreed to standardize the ‘no window hours’ scheme on national roads and roads listed as Mabuhay Lane.”
Celine Pialago, the MMDA spokesperson clarified that the Metro Manila mayors have yet to sign the approved resolution and publish it in major newspapers. Motorists have yet to wait for local ordinances to be amended. This will take some time, too!
