Disclosing the undeniable, unknown and yet mysterious ’80s pop culture, an upcoming concert entitled “Into the ’80s” is set on May 18 at the The Theatre at Solaire, Parañaque City.
Led by The Dawn’s Jett Pangan, present in the show will be his fellow ’80s artists Gino Padilla, Jam Morales, Lou Bonnevie and Raymond Lauchengco.
“There was a nice diversity in terms of music; we all sounded different from each other. The energy was undeniable … But since there was no internet or social media yet, there was still mystery, the unknown. These days, you get barraged by all sorts of things every minute of the day,” Pangan said in a press conference.
The singers are expected to draw again the ’80s babies down memory lane with a 40-song set with hits from Prince, The Police, Sheena Easton, Spandau Ballet, Blondie, Kim Carnes, Bangles, Irene Cara, Whitney Houston, Wham, Billy Joel, Rick Astley, Kool and the Gang and Queen.
