Lea Salonga shares her thoughts about the new live action film “Alladin”

  Tony Award winner singer and actress Lea Salonga took to social media to share her thoughts about the new live action film “Alladin” according to ABS-CBN News.

  Salonga wrote on Facebook, “For all that’s been said about the new live action Aladdin, even without seeing the movie, my takeaway is this: a movie set in a fictional city in the Middle East starring all shades of brown people and making beaucoup bucks at the box office can only be a good thing.”

  The singer was very much impressed by the performances of the casts especially on the recording of “Speechless,” a new song that’s included in the movie’s soundtrack.

  Salonga provided the singing voice of Jasmine in the original “Alladin” and recorded the main theme song of “A Whole New World” in 1992.

  “Aladdin” is still showing in cinemas.
