Taylor Swift announces hit single meant for homophobes

  Taylor Swift proudly presents her seventh album entitled “Lover” Thursday, June 13.

  In this album, a particular song entitled “You Need to Calm Down,” she targeted all homophobes and addressed her own haters and those who criticize the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual or the LGBTQIA+ community.

  Lyrics go this way: “And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate/ ‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay.” Another is: “You need to just stop, like can you just not step on his gown?”

  “You Need to Calm Down” is the second single from the latest album which is to be released on August 23.
