Since Metro Manila has never been the best place for commuters, there has been transport services that have been created to ease the hassle of commuting in the metro.
Aside from the usual public vehicles like UV express services, LRTs/MRTs, buses and jeepneys, there is Grab, Angkas, and the carpooling services known as Wunder.
But just as these transport services emerge in the market, there has also been mandates that stops the operation of these transport services due to certain reasons and the latest transport service to stop serving the public is Wunder.
Wunder is a carpooling app created by Wunder Mobility, a German-based company that focuses on improving people’s lives by making commuting easy and it has been announced that it will be stopping its operation in Metro Manila starting on June 28.
In an online statement of Wunder, “We have decided to stop our operations in Manila in order to focus our resources in other mobility niches, in order to accelerate our vision of a better mobility ecosystem worldwide.”
The users have until June 28 to either use or withdraw their remaining Wunder Wallet balance excluding the Bonus Points, which are non-withdrawable.
Although they have put their operations in Manila to stop, Wunder is still encouraging the masses to continue carpooling with or without the app.
