Singer Kiana Valenciano recently slams the idea and pressure of being viral and cool in the social media and anxiety over people who are too quick to judge.
On her Instagram account, the daughter of Mr. Pure Energy Gary V. says, “In this day and age it’s getting so hard to just be honest because everyone can see, hear and read anything at any time, giving them the freedom to judge you at any time.”
“We compare ourselves to people we know and don’t know on our feeds and build personas to fit in. No wonder we’re all anxious,” she added.
The singer cited the pressure to go viral everytime and showing what is cool to others are not great ways to “get by.”
“Remember that we’re all different, we’re all on different journeys, we don’t live perfect lives, and that’s okay.” Valenciano concluded.
