Oakland County Probate Judge Jennifer Callaghan has agreed to allow a handwriting expert to examine last will documents of music icon Aretha Franklin.
On a hearing on Tuesday, August 6, the said judge placed the administration of Franklin’s estate under court supervision.
This happened when a handwritten document dated in 2014 shows that Franklin wanted her son, Kecalf, to handle the supervision of her estate that worth millions as they estimated it.
After Franklin’s death in August 2018, her heirs agreed to transfer the administration of the estate to her niece, Sabrina Owens. Franklin’s lawyers found it no basis for Kecalf to own the estate.
