Ed Sheeran was ordered by the New York Federal Court to disclose all of his income on concerts as part of hearing procedures on his copyright lawsuit on “Thinking Out Loud” track.
On the context on does Sheeran has the right to perform “Thinking Out Loud” publicly, Sheeran’s camp argued that the disclosure in unnecessary because of the lack of connection of the alleged infringement and the concert income.
Sheeran’s attorney Donald Zakarin insisted that Sheeran has always the authority to perform the said track in concert venues because of blaket licenses he has from American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI).
But experts say that it doesn’t save Sheeran.
