Singer Camilla Cabello has opened up about her struggle on a mental disorder called ‘obsessive-compulsive disorder’ or OCD.
“Here’s why there aren’t pictures of from the last year: Me crying in the car talking to my mom about how much anxiety and how many symptoms of OCD I was experiencing; me and my mother in a hotel room reading books about OCD because I was desperate for relief,” Cabello told in an essay for The Wall Street Journal Magazine.
OCD is a mental illness that causes a person to have repeatedly unwanted thoughts and sensations that are beyond their control. Because of this, Cabello experienced headaches and sleepless nights.
“My body went through what felt like multiple roller-coaster rides every day. But I kept going and showing up, never letting people around me know how much I was struggling. And you probably felt my distance on some level. All my loved ones did,” the 23-year-old popstar added.
