Pop star Taylor Swift has voiced out her piece about racial injustice in the government of the United States and told that people’s votes are crucial in fight against racism.
Being one of the celebrities who have been vocal against racial injustice, Swift said, “Racial injustice has been ingrained deeply into local and state governments, and changes MUST be made there.”
“In order for policies to change, we need to elect people who will fight against police brutality and racism of any kind,” she added while sharing an article written by former US President Barack Obama about policy making.
Celebrities in the US recently expressed their support for the ‘Black Lives Movement’ after the a 46-year-old African American named George Floyd died in the hands of Minneapolis police officer on May 25.
