Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom welcome first child

  Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have welcomed their newborn baby girl that they named “Daisy Dove,” August 27, Thursday.

  The announcement of Perry’s child birth was made by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and by the couple through their Instagram accounts. Hence, this is an avenue to the new parents, Perry and Bloom, to serve as Goodwill Ambassadors for the humanitarian aid organization for children.

  “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” said the couple.

  “Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes,” they added.
