  “Are you willing to take a risk and date your best friend?” Is question that tests the strength of one’s friendship,

  A million scenarios would definitely play in your head upon hearing this question. Is it worth it? Would it last? What if we break up? What if we don’t get back to the way we used to?

  For some, friendship is a good foundation of a great romance. When you have been friends for a long time, you already know the person like the back of your hand. You will be able to read their moods, and you definitely can feel if it is worth risking for a romantic relationship.

  But what is it like to date your bestfriend?

  You skip the awkward stage of getting to know each other

  Being able to spend so much time around them gets you a free pass to see them at their best and at their worst. You already know when they are in a bad mood and what can make them feel better. You know what to avoid and how to please them.

  There is not really much of the getting-to-know stage since you already know each other for like God knows how long already!

  You jive with almost everything

  You wouldn’t be friends in the first place if you don’t have any similarities. Since you have a lot of things in common, finding things that you can bond over with is easy. You have the same taste in music, you love to eat the same kinds of food, you watch mostly the same movies over and over again. You really won’t run out of the things to do together. What is boredom, right?

  No need to introduce them to family and friends

  Since you have been already hanging out in each other’s pad from time-to-time, both of your families already know you. Same goes with the circle of friends. Not unless you want to reintroduce yourselves formally and that’s okay. There is no fear of families or friends rejecting your not-so-new partner. *wink

  You are super comfortable around each other

  The obsession to be at your best is nowhere to be found. They have already seen you at your worst and by worst, I meant you in a total mess.

  What’s great about it is that they accept you for who you are. No need to impress them or pretend to be someone you are not just for them to accept you or love you. Awww.

  And most importantly, you get to spend most of your days with the most important person in your life.
