There’s a new study conducted in Germany that finds low potential of coronavirus spread at indoor concerts, November 3, Tuesday.
The study were conducted in August by group of researchers from the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. “There is no argument for not having such a concert. The risk of getting infected is very low,” said Dr. Michael Gekle.
The experiment was made during a show of a German pop singer Tim Bendzko at an arena in Leipzig where 1,400 people were in attendance, mostly were volunteers. Participants were also given masks and tracking devices. The risk was said to be low to very low given that the venue is in good ventilation, strict hygiene rules, and with limited audience.
Though findings were seemed to be useful, the researchers warned the music inductry before it gets too excited that the study has not been peer-reviewed. Critics suggested that it may not be possible to replicate the controls deployed in the study at an actual and populous concert.
