Google Maps updates with new Live View features

  How is your last travel outside the country? Did you experience a difficulty navigating where to go, where to eat and where to stay?

  Alright. Google Maps now assures you that your next travel will not be as hard as the previous one.

  It is exciting because Google Maps has rolled out series of updates that involves augmented reality technology that makes street-level navigation more intuitive to use.

  One of the feature updated is the first-person view of surroundings. It is equipped with complete markers, arrows, and directions that can be found on the application.

  

  Then, the tech giant made the Live View more accessible in variety of locations. It includes the walking portions of trips and in some countries, depending on its availability, a user can open it through the application’s transit tab. This will offer travelers a more seamless experience, just like when a traveler jump down from public transport to set foot on street in an instant through its Live View.

  This new Live View does give a more accurate placement of the pin of location the user wanted. It also includes the location’s topography and elevation. A location like Tagaytay or Antipolo, for an instance, a user can identify the winding streets, roads situated on hills and beside cliffs.

  

  And interestingly, iOS and Android support the Live View location-sharing feature. How? Whenever somebody sends a user a specific location, the recipient can use this feature to see his or her surroundings, identify landmarks, and check for directions. Google have tested Live View with the Local Guides and Pixel community over the past few months, and are now expanding the beta to Android and iOS devices that support ARCore and ARKit.

  

  Google users are starting to see these changes gradually. The feature that give AR experience in landmarks are already available in key cities across the globe such as Tokyo, and Osaka in Asia, Sydney in Australia, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris,and London in Europe and New york in the United States.

  These newest features in this navigation app will surely let travelers have a handy approach on travels. It helps travelers to be more organized, to get around confidently, to find amazing food and tourist spots, and to soak in the memories and share them with friends.
