Barry Gibb has collaborated with Dolly Parton in releasing the track entitled ‘Words,’ January 1, Friday.
‘Words,’ originally by the Bee Gees in 1968, is part of Gibb’s newest album entitled “Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1,” which is due on January 8. The song was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.
Dave Cobb, the producer of the LP, said that ‘Words’ was the very first session for the album. “I remember walking to where I was going to play guitar and my legs started trembling. I just registered the weight of these two. They’re bigger than legends, they’re icons, and they’re right there.” Cobb said.
‘Words’ has been recorded or performed by a number of artists, including Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Roy Orbison, and Rita Coolidge.
