The Utah fantasy theme park named Evermore has filed a lawsuit against pop star Taylor Swift over the alleged trademark infringement committed by her album and its related merchandise, February 3, Wednesday.
Evermore Park claimed that the release of Swift’s album has made an “actual confusion” to the public affecting the online presence of the park negatively including its marketing, merchandise, and visitors.
In courts documents obtained by the Rolling Stone, it was said that the park management also alleges that both Evermore Park and Swift’s Evermore merchandise offer similar products and the court documents include photographs of park’s merchandise.
The suit seeks “not more than $2 million per counterfeit mark” in connection with trademark infringement on clothing. On the counterpart, Swift’s legal team called the allegations baseless.
